When hardeners were nerfed and vehicle wp was reintroduced, I have 4+ people targeting my Incubus for easy points. This is a prediction I made with full knowledge of how pathetic vehicles were in uprising before 1.7, when players would pull out multiple AV for a single vehicle for disposing it with ease.
Dropships were nearly balanced, but are yet again quite fragile. I do not understand why it is so difficult to balance vehicle. Solely balancing it around tanks is a major issue, and this is my suggestion made a little while ago about hardeners: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=2001134#post2001134
I am aware that CCP is planning on releasing more hotfixes, but what they are and what they contain is pure speculation. Tanks were overpowered through hardeners, but when balancing around a single problem, it indirectly creates a multitude of issues. All I want is balance, yet is seems that infantry want everything to require little to no effort and high reward for destroying vehicles. I wish to be a pilot, but my skill points put into dropships is near to invalidation.
Rail tanks can now literally one shot me out of the air as long as they stay close enough to the objective where I am trying to support my squad. It sucks to be a pilot... |

So, everybody gets a pony now!
And the non-tankers are already defending it.
Rails need to be adjusted. A 15% decrease in damage, have shots charge individually, increased charge time (similar to forge guns), and the limitation to one damage mod should suffice. More than one damage mod is just overkill, even against other tanks.

Here is the thing; vehicles have this exact thing (the underlined bit) towards killing infantry.
I just don't find it that difficult to destroy dropships. When you consider that the majority of the player base is strictly infantry, what else is there to do? Wander around the map? Pathetically try to frighten tanks with my incubus and Python? Also, the issue for tanks killing infantry is merely blaster turrets, which obviously need balancing, but I believe it needs to be reconstructed mechanically, as it mercilessly slaughters the poor fellows.
Two threads regarding blasters and balancing them: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=153801&find=unread and https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1877847#post1877847 |

Besides, slap an afterburner and a hardener on and you should be good to go. The key is proper timing of activation, hardeners when you have to hover, afterburner when you need to get the heck out of dodge.
I don't have an issue with swarms, other than the amount of kick that flips my dropship and orientation of out wack. It could use a slight toning down... |

Why would any vehicle user have an issue with swarms? They still don't work right a good amout of the time (see Judge Rhamtijfsl/akj video on it) and standard swarms are insanely underpowerd.
I don't have an issue with swarms. The amount of power (not damage) behind each missile seems a little ridiculous. It's not a major issue, nor something that needs to be changed. I have seen Judge's video regarding swarms, and they are indeed underpowered, but with the war point rewards they have now, I don't see a lot of room to complain, but the resistances do seem quite odd. Just so you know, I rarely use swarms, and don't know exactly how the reward system works for them, but in my experience, it seems to work fine. |

I was just pointing out that you were upset about infantry wanting the exact same thing that vehicles enjoy now. The underlined bit.
That's fine. It's just that people tend to take things to the nth degree and want everything and anything regarding everything and anything.
